So... what could possibly make one happy? For a moment or two, to say the least? I would advise a little giggle which you can get from Tom Lehrer. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Lehrer] Check this out:

and so on. He is indeed funny and not silly. You can find things in his songs, not only nonsensical nonsenses. And he is baritone... for women it`s the nicest voice type of men.
Ok, we`re giggling already (it is really hot in Vilnius so I have to apologize for this post). But what could one do in the gloomy evenings of November when it`s but rain to see through the window? If you`re doe with Mr. Lehrer the next level is of Julia Child (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julia_Child). Find yourself her "Mastering the art of French cooking" and give yourself in following her advise. You`ll see it was worth it as you eat. If anyone could teach me, the ignorant, how could I upload "the French chef" shows of ~30 min on youtube or dailymotion...
Don`t say you hate to cook, I won`t believe it. If you say so, there`s several reasons I can think of: either you tried something and made a mess or hurt yourself or whatever, or someone made you cook/bake when you were not in the mood, or you simply didn`t have a great book or recipe to follow and discover yourself as a magician. Well, I hope we`ll fix it and you`ll find the joy of cooking.
As a complete No-chef, make yourself the fantastic sorbet (juice-based ice cream): Take 1 cup (pink) grapefruit juice (you ca take other kind but then add less sugar), 1 cup sugar, 1 cup whipping cream (35% of fat) and 0,5 cup of normal milk (somewhat 3.5 or at least 2.5 % fat). The procedure is easier than easy: you mix everything (don`t leave the sugar on the bottom) and put in in the freezer. The next day you have something really worth forgetting your diets. It`s full of calcium, after all. :)
